Memory Lane pt. 2.

Memory lane is an escape

Whether or not it’s good or bad

I don’t know why but it makes me feel safe

How can you feel safe

In that place that is filled with

Acidic lakes

The pink cotton candy clouds

May make you think

That you’re fine and dandy

But that’s not the case

Memory lane is a pain

Bittersweet memories

That I wish you could erase

But I can’t

It’s something I’ll always have to face

The sinkholes that litter the roads

Is becoming more commonplace

And I fear that the animals that roam

Will lose this magical place

The sky is still a baby blue

A contrast to the dying trees

That have a more gray hue

I wonder what happened to all the bees

If this is my actual Wonderland

Then to hell with the place

But sadly I feel bound to this world

And will most likely rot away

~a sleepy ghost~

Author: Viv

Just a suffering Victorian era ghost stuck in the past but loves modern music, sushi, and singing despite being really boring.
